Style. Whether it's a chance meeting or an interview for a new job, what's on the outside is just as important as what's on the inside. We've all been told "it's what's on the inside that counts", however, too often nobody gets to see what's on the inside because "first impressions are everything!"

As a stylist, I've advised people from all walks of life. No matter our age, profession or body shape, we all benefit from looking our best. How you present yourself tells the world how you want to be treated. Be sure to visit my website at www.karensuzanne.com if you or someone you know is looking for personal assistance!

This past week I had the exciting opportunity to style two professional baseball players. I traveled to Florida where my clients are at Spring Training. These athletes are gifted in all things related to their sport. They know their game from top to bottom, mentally and physically; quite frankly they’re literally in a league of their own. Did you know that in your lifetime you’re 4X more likely to be struck by lightning than of becoming a major league baseball player? Having said that, even these athletes needed professional advice and help with clothing basics. What are the 3 most important things to know when shopping? Fit, fit and fit. As you’d imagine, it’s even more difficult to find when you’re much larger than the average ‘off the rack’ male.

I had a fabulous time getting them to try new things and explaining the importance of proper fit. I demonstrated the technique of layering, mixing textures and pulling a total look together. They maintained their personalities but became sharper versions of themselves. It was rewarding to select several basic items and get them started on how things should look and fit.

We all need experts in our lives. Planning a summer vacation? Get a personal trainer so you’ll look your best on the beach! Have a dream house in mind? Find an architect and make that dream a reality. Each one of us brings a unique talent to this world, regardless of background or age. Finding and perfecting your personal style adds to the professional credibility in your area of expertise.
